Simple, elegant wedding dresses
A simple wedding dress can create the most dramatic statement especially if you have the figure to carry it off. These dresses are elegant and often made in beautiful silks that drape to accentuate your natural beauty.
Less certainly can be more and there are many reasons why brides opt for a simple gown:
1. A simple dress is a strong base to create your own individual look.
2. Go for it and style with unusual accessories such as a sparkly sash or belt, chandelier earrings and funky shoes.
3. Generally the price tag will be lower as you are not paying for labour intensive details such as hand beading, appliqué or embroidery.
4. A train, even a small puddle train, will add bridal elegance.
5. Simple dresses are easy to wear and move in, ideal for an overseas wedding in a hot climate.
6. Go to town with your bouquet – introduce colour to lift your simple dress and make a real statement.
When Catherine walked on to my stand at the National Wedding Show and saw my silk cowl-back wedding dress with a puddle train she knew she had found her dream wedding dress.
She had been about to give up her search at the show having seen rails of elaborate wedding gowns with long trains and big skirts.
It was lovely to see her excitement and she asked if she could try it on.
It could have been made to measure, it fitted her perfectly and she loved my feature Deco style beading on the shoulders and belt that synched in her small waist.
